A couple of months ago the Jumble word game came up here;
now I've seen a competitor for the first time.

Got a copy of last Sunday's Columbus (Ohio) Dispatch,
on the same page as their bridge column, crossword puzzle,
etc. is the word game "SCRAM-LETS".

I can't find anything about from Google or Teoma.

Does somebody have any info on it.
Specifically who is the artist "F.S.".
Also when did it start? Is it syndicated?
Is it a local feature? Who writes it? Anything?

The cartoonist "F.S." (from this one sample I have seen)
looks to be a pretty decent artist, with an art style that
would seem to fit in with most magazine gag cartoonists.

It ran in the Tampa Tribune last time I checked, so it must be
syndicated, but I know nothing else about it.

It's been a constant puzzle in the _Fort Worth Star-Telegram_ for years, for
whatever that's worth.
